The rich cultural heritage of Nepal, has evolved over the centuries. This multi-dimensional cultural heritage encompasses within itself the cultural diversities of various ethnic, tribal, and social groups. As our country holds numerous cultural heritage site among them Tripureshwor Mahadev Mandir Temple is one of them, a cultural heritage site in Kathmandu. It was built as a traditional Newari temple by Queen Lalita Tripura Sundari in 1818.
Rc Tripureshwor organized a cleaning program on 16th July 2011 at this temple. The program was organized jointly with parent club Rotary Club of Tripureshwor .The chief target of the program was to clean temple and improved its environmental condition. The program also aims to save the identity of the temple so, it could remain to upcoming generation.
In this program mainly Rotarian and Rotaractors tries to improve the condition of the temple by cleaning its surrounding. They actively involved in clearing weeds around the temple. The effort made by the group also was able to attract the surrounding people to co-operate with team. At last, the joint effort of Rotary and Rotaractor was able to show a watchable effect on the surrounding of the temple
